I’m thrilled to share that I’ve officially been accepted into the Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) program at Concordia University, St. Paul, starting this January! 💛

I’m grateful for all the support I’ve received along the way. I’m excited to continue growing as an educator and bringing that growth into the studio. 🎶

✨🎲 NEW GAME ALERT! 🎶

Lessons just got even more fun. We are playing Music Yahtzee in the studio this week. Students roll the dice, complete musical challenges, and race to fill their scorecards. From scales to rhythms to dynamics, every roll is a new surprise.

Music practice doesn't always have to feel like work. It can be a game too!

Today we said goodbye to my very first piano teacher.

She was the one who showed me where middle C was when I was five years old. She had the patience to sit with me for an entire year while I struggled to understand how to read music, waiting for the light bulb to finally turn on. She taught me how to perform at recitals, how to push through when I wanted to quit. She never once gave up on me.

She watched me grow up. She watched me pursue music as a career. She watched me open my own studio and begin teaching. She even gave me some of her old books to use with my students.

Even after all those years, I kept in touch with her through letters. Words can never fully capture the gratitude I feel for the way she impacted my life. I wouldn’t be the person, musician, or teacher I am today without her.

I will always miss the moments of sitting side by side playing duets—laughing together when we both messed up. She taught me that music is more than notes on a page; it’s about connection, laughter, and love.
Her legacy lives on through every note I play and every student I teach.
