🌱 Vacation Bible School is almost here!

We’re excited to welcome children from across our community to Growing in God’s Garden at Ninth Street United Methodist Church!

Come join us for three evenings of Bible stories, music, crafts, games, snacks, and lots of fun as we learn more about God’s love together.

Our Community Nursery School staff will be helping lead VBS this year. If your child is already enrolled for the 2026 to 2027 school year, this is a great chance to meet teachers, see the classrooms, and get comfortable before school starts. If you’re simply curious about our nursery school, we’d love to meet you while you’re here as well.

Most importantly, VBS is for everyone. Whether your family attends Ninth Street, another church, or no church at all, we’d love to have you and your children join us!

✨ Teacher Tip Tuesday with Miss Bella ✨

One of the sweetest habits to build with your child is a prayer routine. This week, Miss Bella shares how simple moments of prayer at home can help nurture your child’s faith and confidence in praying with and for others.

At Community Nursery School, we incorporate prayer and Bible lessons into our everyday routines, helping children grow spiritually alongside their social, emotional, and academic development.

✏️Teacher Tip Tuesday ✏️

Today, Miss Delanie is sharing a simple but powerful tip for supporting your child’s language development: Talk, talk, talk! 🗣️

Modeling correct pronunciation, helping children learn new words and letter sounds, and simply talking together throughout the day all help build vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence.

Remember, you don’t need flashcards or fancy activities! Some of the best learning happens during ordinary moments like grocery shopping, cooking dinner, or taking a walk!

✏️ Teacher Tip Tuesday ✏️

If you’ve ever wondered, “Is my child ready for preschool?” just know that you’re not alone.

It’s a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about when the time is right.

Today, our director, Miss Emma, wants to gently remind you that you’re not expected to have your child perfectly ready before they start!

You’re already doing the important work of loving them, teaching them, and helping them grow in their own time.

Preschool simply builds on that foundation!

So take the pressure off, and start noticing the little things like curiosity, interest in others, and growing independence.

Those are often the signs that your child is ready for this next step.

And Community Nursery School is ready to welcome your child whenever you are!

A little behind-the-scenes look at Community Nursery School!

We’re beginning to prepare our classrooms for the upcoming school year, and while there’s still plenty to do (including some fresh paint 🎨), we’re excited to start bringing everything together.

It’s hard to believe that in just a few short months these rooms will be filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and so many special memories.

Every project, plan, and preparation happening this summer is helping us create a welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year is still open! We’d love to be part of your child’s preschool journey!
