The New Life difference starts with what we put first.
Before the homework piles up, practices get busy and everyone settles into the rhythm of a new school year, we spend our first week together intentionally focusing on our relationship with God and one another through Spiritual Emphasis Week.
This year, that focus introduced our theme for the year: Abide.
For our students, abiding can become part of everyday life. It is learning to stay close to Him in the classroom, in friendships, on the court or field, at home and in the choices no one else sees. It means understanding that following Jesus isn't one part of life. He is the source of it.
That's a big part of what we want Christian education at New Life to be. Yes, our students have Bible class and chapel, but faith doesn't stop there. We want them to learn what it looks like to walk with Jesus through an ordinary Friday just as much as during a week set aside to focus on Him.
We don't want Spiritual Emphasis Week to simply be a great start to the year. We want Abide to shape the year ahead.
