📣 LMTs- we want to hear from YOU!
One of the things we love about massage therapy is that there is always more to learn. Whether you've been practicing for 6 months or 20 years, we all run into questions, challenges, and situations that weren't necessarily covered in massage school.
So, we're thinking about starting an LMT Mentorship Series right here on our page- practical, professional conversations designed to help massage therapists grow in their skills, confidence, business, and careers.
But before we start… what would YOU actually want to talk about? 👇
Here are some of the topics we're considering:
👐 BACK TO BASICS
The fundamentals we learned in school… but sometimes forget along the way.
• Body mechanics & protecting your own body
• Self-care for massage therapists
• Room setup & hygiene
• Draping & professional standards
• Intake, assessment & treatment planning
• Creating a professional client experience
💆♀️ CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS & COMMUNICATION
• Building trust with clients
• Professional boundaries
• Handling difficult clients or situations
• Communication during the massage
• Rebooking & client retention
💼 BUILDING YOUR CAREER
• Setting your rates & knowing your worth
• Avoiding burnout
• Continuing education & choosing what’s actually useful
• Building confidence as an LMT
📱 THE BUSINESS SIDE OF MASSAGE
• Marketing yourself without feeling “salesy”
• Social media for LMTs
• Policies every massage therapist should have
• Building a successful clientele
• The things nobody tells you about running a massage business
🧠 REAL TALK FOR LMTs
• Difficult or uncomfortable client situations
• When to refer a client to another professional
• Managing the emotional side of this profession
• What to do when you feel like you're “not good enough”
• Staying passionate about massage when you're feeling burned out
👇 LMTs, what would YOU want to see?
Comment with the topic(s) that interest you most. You can choose more than one! Or tell us something you wish someone had taught you when you first became a massage therapist.
And if you'd be interested in following along with a mentorship series like this, drop a 🙋♀️ in the comments!
We want to make this practical, honest, and actually useful for the massage therapy community. We are here to help everyone succeed in this profession.
