Had the honor speaking to 200+ middle and high school students today at the 30th Annual YAC conference curated by the City of Killeen, Texas - Government!!! The topic was Goals & Accountability! They were engaged and connections were made! One of my dreams is to be a motivational speaker with an emphasis on at risk youth. This is just the beginning! Thank you COK for this wonderful opportunity and I look forward to serving in whatever capacity available!

TBT: During my first year as a vocal coach, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mathew Knowles and gaining insight on the principles he used when molding Destiny’s Child and Beyoncé’s Career.

He said:

🔥When he saw the immense talent his daughter had, he INVESTED in it. Voice lessons, dance lessons, costumes, travel, events…you name it

🔥He took EVERY opportunity of exposure whether paid or not until he could afford to turn them down. He said the only way you could afford to turn it down is if your calendar was full and you could make a full salary on your talent alone.

🔥They received a THOUSAND NOs before they got their YES but they prepared themselves for that opportunity well before it happened!

Moral of the story, ANYTHING worth having is WORTH FIGHTING FOR. You will make sacrifices, you will hear no, but if it’s your or your child’s dream, you MUST KEEP GOING!

Be encouraged! It ain’t over yet!
