📚 Before the first day of school, take a few minutes to review the 2026-2027 Killeen ISD Student Code of Conduct.

The Student Code of Conduct includes important reminders about:
✅ Dress code expectations
✅ Personal communication devices
✅ Clear or mesh backpack requirements
✅ Water bottle guidelines
✅ Other student expectations for the school year

Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct before shopping or the first day can help ensure your student is ready for a successful start to the school year.

📅 Manor Middle School students begin classes Tuesday, Aug. 4. All other Killeen ISD students return Monday, Aug. 17.

Congratulations to one of our incredible music and choir directors, Mr. Flores! Today, Mr. Flores successfully completed Level II Kodály Training, a rigorous professional learning program designed to strengthen educators’ skills in music pedagogy, performance, and personal musicianship.

This accomplishment represents an incredible commitment to his students and our campus. Mr. Flores has dedicated two of his summer breaks to this intensive training, with one more summer still to go before completing the full program.

We are so proud of his dedication to continuous learning and excellence. We can’t wait to see the new ideas, strategies, and inspiration he brings back to our music program this school year. Congratulations, Mr. Flores, and thank you for investing in yourself so you can continue investing in our Bulldogs! 🐾♥️

Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, Killeen ISD is rolling out the SMART Tag™ bus safety system to make riding the bus safer and give parents more peace of mind.

Here's how it works:
✅ Students will scan their school ID badge when they get on and off the bus.
✅ Parents can download the SMART Tag™ Parent App to receive:
📲 Real-time bus ride updates
🚌 Boarding and drop-off notifications
📍 Bus location information
📋 Student transportation history
💬 Easier communication with Killeen ISD Transportation

The best part? Student ID badges do not store personal information.
