So instead of letting the Texas heat slow us down, we transformed our classroom into a glow dance party! 🪩✨
These movement breaks are more than just fun—they help children develop coordination, strengthen gross motor skills, practice self-regulation, and release energy so they're ready to return to learning.

One of the greatest gifts we can give children is the opportunity to learn by doing.
Over the past several weeks, our students have lovingly cared for our school garden—watering, observing, and patiently waiting for their plants to grow. Their hard work is beginning to pay off as they've harvested fresh carrots and cucumbers, and we're excited to see our cantaloupes continuing to grow!
Gardening teaches so much more than how food grows. It nurtures responsibility, patience, curiosity, and an appreciation for God's creation. Seeing the excitement on the children's faces as they harvest something they helped grow is a wonderful reminder that meaningful learning happens through real-life experiences.

🌊 Ocean week has been an exciting adventure at Dandelion Christian Montessori!
Our students have been exploring the fascinating world beneath the sea through hands-on Montessori materials, discovering different ocean animals while building vocabulary, concentration, and a love for learning. 🐠🐙🐢
To stay cool during these hot Texas days, everyone enjoyed refreshing fresh fruit smoothies—a fun and healthy treat that made the day even more special! 🍓☀️

Looking for a simple way to keep your little one cool and engaged this summer? ☀️🦈

This shark search sensory activity was a huge hit! All you need is a water table (or a plastic bin), water, and a few toy sharks or other small toys to hide. As children search, scoop, and explore, they’re building concentration, fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and language—all through play.

Montessori reminds us that learning doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest activities create the most meaningful moments. 💙

Have you tried any fun water activities with your little ones this summer?

One of our favorite Montessori Practical Life lessons became even more meaningful this year. 🌼💛

Instead of buying flowers for our flower arranging activity, our students used flowers they planted, cared for, and watched bloom in our school garden. Seeing their excitement as they picked flowers they had grown themselves was such a special full-circle moment.

These are the experiences that make hands-on learning so memorable—teaching patience, responsibility, and an appreciation for God’s beautiful creation, one flower at a time. 🌱✨

Today’s Montessori lesson: Water Balloon Fighting 101. 💦🎈

Today’s objectives included teamwork, coordination, problem-solving, and finding the best way to cool off in the Texas heat!

The laughter, smiles, and excitement said it all. We love creating opportunities for children to learn, play, and make lasting summer memories together.

Today marks one year since Dandelion Christian Montessori opened its doors.

Looking back, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness through every challenge, every milestone, and every blessing. What started as a vision has grown into a beautiful community of children, families, teachers, and friends.
