K–8 arts-integrated school & dance studio igniting creativity, confidence & joy in Killeen, TX.
In art class, students used their imaginations and creativity to make a variety of animals out of playdough. Through hands-on sculpting, they explored shapes, textures, and design while developing fine motor skills and artistic expression. Each child created unique animal masterpieces, showcasing their creative minds and problem-solving abilities in a fun and engaging learning experience.
This week we've been touring around Africa and our students learned about African hedgehogs and discovered what makes these small animals unique. They explored where African hedgehogs live, what they eat, and how they use their sharp quills for protection. The children enjoyed learning fun facts about these fascinating creatures and gained a better understanding of animal habitats and adaptations. Why did we choose a hedgehog? If you didn't know our school has a female African hedgehog named Ike. Ike can be found in our front office sleeping during the day but she becomes very active when she goes home every evening.

Hill Country Arts Academy and Community Arts Program
Summer Camp-Around the World continues. This week the kids are learning about Africa.
Our 3-year old is quickly learning how to warm up for ballet jumps and our other children and practicing dance improv and are allowing their inner creativity to flow.

Our engaging programs will help build confidence, make new friends and create lasting skills while having fun all summer long.
We have weekly and daily options available.

Our summer camp students at Hill Country Arts Academy proudly volunteered their time to assemble swag bags for a local golf tournament. Through teamwork, organization, and community service, the students helped prepare giveaway items for tournament participants while gaining valuable experience in giving back to their community. We are proud of their hard work, positive attitudes, and commitment to serving others!
