Happy Birthday to Ms. Neveah our Library Clerk!

CHS Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, City of Harker Heights Parks and Rec, and City Library hosted the 3rd annual Senior Senior Prom on Sunday! Elegant Expressions by Sylvia came through again, the decorations and photo ops were beautiful! We enjoyed some Chick-fil-A Nuggets, catered food from United Healthcare, and Laura's best cookies. We had such a great time! The Mayor of Harker Heights, Mr. Michael Blomquist came by and showed us his dancing skills thanks to the DJ playing the best dance hits! We stopped by the police station to share some goodies before packing up! Thanks to everyone who supported this event!

The butterflies are here!!! We received the Butterfly trunk from the Texas Wildlife Association. The students enjoyed discovering butterflies in Texas and seeing the new butterflies emerge!

Killeen ISD High School Libraries Celebrated our top readers in the Amazing Book Journey Reading Challenge! This was our 4th year celebrating our top readers, thanks to our sponsors- Killeen Education Foundation and HEB!
This years' celebration happened at Chaparral with a game/carnival theme. Students won prizes, participated in crafts, ate carnival themed food, and ended the day with BINGO!

CHS Chick-fil-A Leader Academy visited Douse and Haynes Elementary March 27th. Students were able to spread the message about being great leaders, reading to students, and participating in Haynes' special PE celebration!

Happy Easter Bobcats! Congrats to our winner(s) on the guessing jar, they are sharing 348 pieces of assorted candies!

Last Friday Chick-fil-A Leader Academy went to Reeces Creek and Fowler Elementary. We spread the word on being great leaders through service and example.
At Reeces Creek, we helped in the library-they created hearts and we listened to some great young readers, and visited PE.
At Fowler we received pom-poms to celebrate Ms. Kelly's daughter, Ms. Jeyde Kelly winning Teacher of the Year! It was an honor for us to participate and honor her. While at Fowler, we talked to 4th graders, Pre-K, and first graders in their classrooms. We ended the classroom visits with 2nd grade in PE. Dismissal with costumes is a must when we visit Fowler!

Congrats to Esmeralda for being the closest number to 267 in our Valentine's Estimation Jar! Happy Valentine's Day Bobcats!

Yesterday CHS Library and our students in Ms. Marine's class participated in King Arthur Baking Company’s Bake for Good program. This outreach program gives students the opportunity to:

LEARN the math and science of bread baking

BAKE at home or at school

SHARE as an act of kindness

Together, these students shared mini loaves of bread to Friends in Crisis delivered by AVID student Zinnia and her mom, Ms. Boyd!
