Ava Has Autism is a shop dedicated to creating practical, compassionate, and beautifully designed tools that support children with autism, communication delays, and emerging life-skills. Ava’s older brother, now a senior, has ADHD, dyslexia, and had behavioral problems in school. And Ava’s younger brother was speech delayed. Throughout their lives, I have dedicated my time and effort in helping my children succeed. They are living, breathing, and walking results of my visual aids, charts, schedules, etc. This past year, I decided to take off work and stay home full time with Ava, to better understand her; what are her meltdown triggers? What coping skills work for her? What does she excel in? What are her strengths and weaknesses? I read books, researched, got creative, and found solutions! I figured out what works and what doesn’t work. Ava is my inspiration! She is the reason I created AvaHasAutism. Everything in my Etsy shop is inspired by, and used daily by Ava.
