What an incredible first day back for the Hawk staff! Our staff came together to celebrate, collaborate, and prepare for an amazing year ahead. We were honored to welcome our superintendent as we celebrated improving a letter grade in our state accountability rating, a milestone that reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire Hay Branch community.

Throughout the day, our team connected with new colleagues, reviewed data, established a shared vision for our campus, and developed grade level mission statements that will guide our work this year. We even wrapped up the day with a little friendly competition at the bowling alley because strong teams are built through strong relationships!

I am grateful for this amazing staff, and can’t wait to see all that we will accomplish together for our students. Here’s to a year of learning, growth, and soaring together. 💛🤎

📚 Before the first day of school, take a few minutes to review the 2026-2027 Killeen ISD Student Code of Conduct.

The Student Code of Conduct includes important reminders about:
✅ Dress code expectations
✅ Personal communication devices
✅ Clear or mesh backpack requirements
✅ Water bottle guidelines
✅ Other student expectations for the school year

Reviewing the Student Code of Conduct before shopping or the first day can help ensure your student is ready for a successful start to the school year.

📅 Manor Middle School students begin classes Tuesday, Aug. 4. All other Killeen ISD students return Monday, Aug. 17.
