This summer our campers got a glimpse into the daily life of astronauts in training!

They took on an out-of-this-world astronaut challenge, including scientific experiments with space gloves, completing astronaut tasks, and even sampling real astronaut-style food. 🌎✨

After their mission activities, campers created a graph showing what they learned and how they felt about their space experience. From discovery to data collection, they practiced STEM skills while exploring the exciting world of space!

Summer Camp Session 1 was an incredible experience, and Water Play Day was a SPLASH!

Microschools are small, innovative learning communities that extend learning beyond the classroom.

Our campers recently visited the Train Depot Park in Downtown Killeen, where they explored the pollinator garden and observed butterflies in their natural environment.

Hands-on experiences like this help connect learning to the real world and spark curiosity in meaningful ways.

This is how we begin developing engineering thinking at an early age. Through designing, testing, problem-solving, and revising their ideas, our campers are building critical STEM skills while having fun.

Activities like these encourage creativity, spatial reasoning, perseverance, and innovative thinking which are foundational skills for future engineers, designers, and problem-solvers.

We love seeing our young learners bring their ideas to life!

Today's Messy Science Week activity was all about creative exploration! Campers designed colorful sand art and built incredible kinetic sand sculptures while developing creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving skills. Learning is always more fun when you can get a little messy!

This week at summer camp, our students explored creativity, STEM, literacy, and social-emotional learning through hands-on activities and engaging stories.

From Ice Cream Day art projects focused on sharing and self-expression, to Marshall Mellow activities centered on courage and friendship, to color exploration inspired by Mixed: A Colorful Story, campers practiced important skills like kindness, collaboration, and creative thinking.

Each day offered opportunities for students to learn, create, and grow together in a supportive and engaging environment.
