Western Saddles

Boots are finished! Customer was ecstatic!

Here are the rawhide toe boxes installed. I have to let them completely dry before I can cement the vamps back down and in place. By the way...those are tacks in the rawhide. These are used when installing, to keep the rawhide in place when you stretch and tack the rawhide on the bottom of the boot. Once the rawhide has dried, these will be removed.

Here is the other set of boots for which I was awaiting the lasts. These are lasted and are now drying. I'll be installing a rawhide toe box to provide a strong toe as the customer will be working around horses, as well as riding them. I have to wait for the boots to be completely dry before I can peel the toe leather back to install the toe box.

Finished a set of shotgun chaps this week for a customer who will be a wrangler out at the Philmont Scout Adventure Camp (New Mexico) this summer!

These chaps are custom to fit the customer. I took quite a few measurements from the waist down to the ankles. The conchos are for aesthetics, there is a zipper that is used to open and close the legs of the chaps.

They are finally complete!! The boots I have been resizing for a customer are finished at last.....Please see the pictures....

Finally, back to the resizing of the 13D boots to 10 5E. I have finally received the lasts and have the boots lasted and drying....Please see the pictures for more details.

Got some great news! The lasts we have been waiting forever for will be in the hands of UPS either today or tomorrow. They should be here within the next week!!

Other great news....See the attached pictures, I have completed the refurbishment/repair of the saddle!

Still no boot lasts....not sure when they are coming....I just sent an email to the producer.

I am still awaiting the boot lasts and have reached a stopping point for the boots...but I have been conducting several different repairs. In particular, see the following pictures, I have been conducting a complete repair/over hall of this saddle. The owner had the saddle and wanted to dye it black so that is what they did. The first picture shows a little bit of the saddle before they dyed it and the second picture is after they dyed it. See the following pictures for more information.....
