This week has been all about planning and preparation at The Great Play Place! 💙💛

Our team has been hard at work investing in themselves so we can continue providing the highest quality care and learning experience for your children.

📚 Monday: We spent the entire day reviewing Texas Minimum Standards to ensure we're providing a safe, healthy, and compliant environment for every child.

✏️ Tuesday: We focused on curriculum training, strengthening how we plan engaging, meaningful learning experiences for our little learners.

❤️ Wednesday: We continued curriculum training and completed CPR & First Aid training because your children's safety will always be our top priority.

🧽 We wrapped up the week with a cleaning party to get every classroom sparkling clean and ready for Monday's return!

💦 Of course, no great training week would be complete without a little fun! We celebrated all of our hard work with an epic water balloon fight filled with laughter, teamwork, and lots of smiles.

Now it's time for our staff to recharge, rest, and enjoy time with their families before we welcome back our little friends on Monday.

We hope all of our Great Play Place families have been enjoying a wonderful Summer Break! We can't wait to see everyone's smiling faces and hear about all of your adventures.

See you Monday! ❤️

Did you know that many car seats are installed incorrectly, even by caring and attentive parents?

A properly installed and correctly used car seat can significantly reduce the risk of serious injury in the event of a crash.

At The Great Play Place, the safety of children is our top priority—not just in our center, but everywhere they go. That's why we want to share this amazing community resource with our families!

📍 FREE Car Seat & Car Seat Inspection Event 🗓 Thursday, June 25 ⏰ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM 📍 Daniel Stark Killeen Office 201 W. Jasper Dr., Killeen, TX

Certified technicians will:

✅ Check your current car seat installation

✅ Teach you how to properly install and use your car seat

✅ Help ensure your child is riding as safely as possible

✅ Provide a replacement car seat if needed (while supplies last)

No appointment is necessary—walk-ins are welcome!

Whether you're a new parent, have recently changed vehicles, or simply want peace of mind, this is a great opportunity to make sure your child's car seat is protecting them the way it was designed to.

As we close out another “school year” at The Great Play Place, we are excited to celebrate another group of preschoolers as they make the transition to becoming “school friends.”

Mrs. Olivia, our Director of Operations, shared a heartfelt and inspiring message with our graduates. We heard giggles and saw smiles as they looked back on some of their special moments at our center.

We also shed a few tears as we said farewell to some friends for the final time, while looking forward to welcoming others back for a summer of fun before they head off to BIG school.

Thank you to all of the loved ones who were able to attend and celebrate with us. As always, we thank you for entrusting us with the care of your children and for being part of what makes The Great Play Place, GREAT!

What an AMAZING day at our 4th Annual Cameron Park Zoo field trip! 🦒🐘🦁

Our little explorers had the opportunity to see so many incredible animals, learn new things, and create memories with their teachers and friends. From watching the giraffes up close to spotting big cats on the prowl, the excitement on their faces made this trip so special! ❤️

At The Great Play Place, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Experiences like these help our children build curiosity, confidence, social skills, and a love for discovering the world around them.

A huge THANK YOU to our staff, families, and everyone who helped make this trip successful year after year. We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue creating meaningful experiences for our children.

Here’s a look at some of the fun from our adventure at Cameron Park Zoo! 📸🎥

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms, grandmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures in our Great Play Place family! 💐

Today, we hope you take a moment to pause, slow down, and enjoy the special mugs you decorated with your child(ren) during our Milkshakes with Mom event. ☕💕

While the mugs may simply hold coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, we hope they also hold sweet memories of laughter, love, and time spent together.

Thank you for trusting us with your children each day and for all of the love, patience, sacrifices, and care you pour into their lives. The work you do matters more than words can express.

From all of us at The Great Play Place — Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸
