-To develop a strong sense of fellowship
-To encourage a desire and an appreciation for excellence in performance
-To provide opportunities for students to improve their knowledge of music through performance

Freshman and new student band camp is Wed-Fri from 8-11am this week at the high school practice field. All freshmen and new students are required to attend. Everyone must have a physical on file in Rank One or turned in to the the director by Wednesday morning. If you still need a physical, Kilgore Quick Care can do it without an appointment.

Also band registration will be at the middle school band hall on Wednesday and Thursday from 1-4pm. All students are required to complete the band registration process.

We have exciting news Kilgore Bulldog family! Please help us welcome Ms. Emily Dean (soon to be Mrs. Clarke) as Kilgore High School’s newest assistant band director and percussion director!

Ms. Dean joins Kilgore after serving as Percussion Director for Longview ISD and teaching percussion students throughout the East Texas and DFW areas during her college career. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University after receiving her Associate of Arts from Tyler Junior College. She completed her student teaching at Trinity High School and is a proud alumnus of the Bullard High School Band Program.

Ms. Dean will soon be making Kilgore home with her soon-to-be-husband, Mr. Clarke, and their cat, Boots after they get married next month! Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Help us welcome Ms. Dean to the Bulldog Band Family!! ❤️🐾🥁
