💙 Parent Leadership in Action!

In Region 7 Head Start, parents are at the heart of everything we do!

Our Head Start Policy Council recently came together to collaborate, share ideas, and help shape decisions that support the children and families we serve.

Made up primarily of Head Start parents, along with community representatives, the Policy Council plays an important role in guiding our program.

👏 Congratulations to our newly elected Policy Council officers representing:
⭐ Longview ISD (Playing for Keeps)
⭐ Waskom ISD
⭐ Karnack ISD
⭐ Lindale Independent School District

We also want to recognize the districts represented at the meeting:
Brownsboro, Big Sandy, Carlisle, Carthage, Chapel Hill, Elkhart, Fruitvale, Grand Saline, Harleton, Jacksonville, Marshall, Mineola, New Summerfield, Ore City, Overton, Rusk, Wells, and Wills Point.

💚 A Special Tradition, Four Years Strong!

For the fourth year in a row, Region 7 EcoLand and the Curriculum Services Department teamed up with the East Texas Angel Network to help create a special day for East Texas children living with serious illnesses and disabilities.

The day was filled with creepy-crawly animal encounters 🐍🦎, big smiles, and plenty of laughter! We’re so grateful to be part of this meaningful event year after year. 💚
