The purpose of Kauai Christian Academy is to provide their students with an education that exalts and glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ in all subjects and activities, therefore, the Bible is the foundation for all our instruction. Not only is the Bible taught daily in each grade level, but since the Bible is manʻs
only source of absolute truth, all other subjects are approached with a biblical foundation. In addition, the Bibleʻs teaching is the basis for all encouragement, correction and training.

Today the Spanish 2 students went to a couple elementary classrooms to teach some thing they’ve learned. They taught colors, numbers, animals, introducing yourself, and how to sing “Happy Birthday” in Spanish to the younger students. If you have a 1st or 3rd grader, ask them what they learned in Espanol today!

Today’s Chapel was the first collaboration of this school year with Calvary Bible Institute Kaua’i. We love having these college aged students come and teach God’s Word to our students, live out a walk of faith before them, and share together in small groups. Today we were shown the benefits of having a deep rooted (like a California redwood) faith in God and His Word from Psalm 1.

Secondary Koke’e Retreat

At the start of each new school year, our secondary students and teachers head up the mountain for a couple days. This Retreat offers an excellent opportunity for the students to get to know one another outside the classroom. It also allows them to bond with their teachers. This year the Retreat included a time of competitions between the 6 houses in the meadow, amazing food, a hike to the waterfall, and vital time spent in worship and listening to God’s Word preached. We are pleased to start off the school year in such a fun, memorable way!

The 6th grade class graduated out of the elementary school today and was welcomed by the secondary students with a human tunnel. Can’t wait to see how these students thrive in our junior high program!

Spanish 2 Children books

Señora Snyder’s Spanish 2 class was tasked with writing and illustrating a bilingual children’s book as one of their final projects. After reading the book before the class, the high school students were given the opportunity to take their books to the intended audience: children! Each Spanish student read their book to a 2nd grader. What a great experience!
