Central Christian School’s theme for the 2026–2027 academic year, Abundant Grace, is rooted in 1 Peter 4:8–10.

As we begin a new school year, our goal remains clear: to guide every student toward success by nurturing Christian servant leaders who faithfully follow Jesus.

Through academic excellence, faith formation, multiage relationships, service opportunities, athletics with purpose, and fine arts, we seek to keep our mission at the center of all we do: To Know Christ and To Make Him Known.

Central Christian School is pleased to welcome Tim Morber as our new Part-Time School Counselor.

Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Akron and a master’s degree in Education in Clinical Counseling from Kent State University. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor in the state of Ohio and has served as a professional counselor since 1989. Throughout his career, Tim has worked with children, adolescents, college-age students, families, and couples in a variety of settings, including community mental health, private practice, schools, higher education, churches, and substance use treatment agencies.

When asked what he is looking forward to about working at CCS, Tim shared, “I’m excited with the growth at Central! I believe I have been called to work in Christian settings, especially Christian educational settings, and therefore I’m excited to be working alongside students, staff, and faculty that follow Jesus Christ’s example.”

Tim attends Lakeview Christian Church in Akron, where he started a Christian counseling ministry about ten years ago to serve congregants and members of the community. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married since 1990 and have four grown children, including one Central Christian alumna. Tim grew up in Akron and currently lives in Canal Fulton. In his free time, he enjoys reading, attending live music events, spending time with family and friends, and hopes to travel more in the future to see more of God’s beautiful world.

Central Christian School is pleased to welcome Jeff Rettig as our new Custodian. Jeff will also continue to serve CCS by substitute teaching and providing private lessons.

Jeff holds an associate degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in High School History Education from the University of Akron. He brings three years of experience as a substitute teacher, as well as previous experience as a youth pastor before transitioning into education.

When asked what he is looking forward to about working at CCS, Jeff shared, “Working alongside some incredible teachers and watching students step into their potential through education and personal faith discovery.”

Jeff attends Living Water Church in Dalton. He and his wife, Lindsay, have been married for 14.5 years and have a daughter, Jasmine, who recently turned 5. In his free time, Jeff enjoys watching movies and attending concerts.

Please join us at CCS on Sunday, August 23 as we gather to dedicate the 2026-2027 school year to the Lord.

Worship will take place in the PAC from 5:00-5:30pm.

A variety of food trucks will be on campus from 5:30pm-7:00pm for you to purchase dinner, so bring your family and enjoy a meal together.
