Guests got the chance to handle real dinosaur bones as well as other fossils and replicas at the Paleo Palooza demonstration during the 2022 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Festival. Pictured are Students Corbin Kesner, Ashlyn Saville, and Jacylin Kesner while then PSC Geology Professor Nathan Van Vranken (now Biological and Environmental Technology professor at Eastern WV Community and Technical College) takes them back through time along with JP Hodnett of Dinosaur Park (Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission) presenting dinosaurs from around the Nation's capital. JP and Nate will be back again this year, along with fossil enthusiast Max Bovis who will be bringing awesome fossils like Megalodon teeth and giant whale vertebrae from along Calvert Cliffs.

Students from left, Moira Sexton, Ana Vargas, Presley Eversole, and Sarah Jewell made binary jewelry during the 2022 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Festival hosted by the Mineral County STEM Network on the WVU Potomac State College campus in Keyser, W.Va. Computer Information Science Professor Mary Moore looks on as the students create a piece of jewelry with their names spelled in binary code. Different colored beads represented 1s, 0s, and delimiters to represent the ASCII code for the letters of each student’s name. Also pictured far left is Christie Sexton, and far right is Vicki Eversole.
