For any families currently using the PEP Homeschool Scholarship, Step Up has opened the scholarship switch window!

If you have been thinking about enrolling your child at Coastal Glades Microschool, you can switch from PEP to the Private School Scholarship for Quarters 3 and 4 of this school year.

Important: Do NOT decline your PEP scholarship in EMA. PEP families need to call Step Up directly at 1-877-735-7837 to complete the switch with an agent.

The deadline is October 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET.

Your PEP scholarship will stay in place through Quarter 2, and your Q1 and Q2 funding will not be affected as long as the switch is completed correctly.

If you are interested in Coastal Glades and have questions about enrollment or how the scholarship works with our school, give us a call! We would be happy to talk with you and help you understand the next steps.

Today, our Coastal Glades students and families had the honor of joining Key Largo Fire Rescue & Emergency Medical Services District for two 9/11 remembrance ceremonies. 🇺🇸

Some of our students and parents met us before the school day began to attend the first ceremony, and the families who weren’t able to join us then met us for the second. It was incredibly special to have our school community come together to honor the heroes of September 11th.

Our students had the opportunity to listen, reflect, and learn about the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness shown that day, as well as the service of the first responders who continue to protect our communities every day.

We are so grateful to Key Largo Fire Rescue for welcoming our students and families and allowing us to be part of such a meaningful morning.

A morning of remembrance, gratitude, and honoring those who answered the call. ❤️🤍💙

Today, on Maria Montessori’s birthday, we honored her legacy with the First Great Lesson.

Her work continues to influence the way we teach, learn, and create space for curiosity and wonder every day.

We always look forward to visits from Roo, but this year was extra special.

Barbara brought the book she wrote about Roo’s journey and read it to our students. The kids loved hearing her story and spending time with Roo.

A huge thank you to Barbara and Roo for visiting us and for donating signed copies of the book to our school.

Our classroom reveal 💛

After so much planning, painting, moving, organizing, rearranging… and then rearranging again 😂… it feels so good to finally share our new space.

We wanted a classroom that felt calm, bright, welcoming, and intentional. A space where children can move freely, work independently, learn together, and feel completely at home.

Every shelf, table, material, and little corner was chosen with our students in mind, and seeing them already learning and growing here makes all of the work behind it so worth it.

This space feels like us.

Welcome to the new home of Coastal Glades. 💚

Yesterday was our first day of school at Coastal Glades!

New faces, familiar faces, lots of laughs, lots of learning, and all of our sweet kids together in our beautiful new space. It was the best kind of first day, the kind where you look up and realize the whole morning just flew by because everyone was so busy exploring, connecting, and settling right in.

So grateful for this crew, for the amazing families who make up our Coastal Glades family, and for another year of learning, growing, and making memories together.

Year two, let’s do this!!
