Recognizing and reporting suspected child abuse or maltreatment is a critical professional responsibility.

NOT EVERY THOUGHT DESERVES TO BE BELIEVED.

Thoughts can feel convincing, but they are mental events, not guaranteed facts. They are often shaped by fear, past experiences, expectations, assumptions, mood, and personal biases.

The goal is not to eliminate every negative thought or replace it with forced positivity. The goal is to help clients examine their thinking with one powerful question:
“What else could be true?”

This question creates space between a thought and a conclusion, opening the door to greater awareness, flexibility, and healthier responses.

At Sweet Institute, we do not teach people what to think. We help them become better at examining how they think.
