A morning of inspiration, tradition, and Knight pride! 💛🤎

Today, our students had the opportunity to hear from our Hall of Fame inductees during a special pep rally! From sharing memories of their time at Alter to offering words of wisdom and encouragement, our inductees reminded our students what it truly means to be a Knight.

Their stories are a testament to the lasting impact of the Alter community and the legacy our students continue to build each day. ⚔️

It is with heavy hearts that we remember former Archbishop Alter High School principal, Sister Katie Hoelscher, who passed away on October 9, 2026.

In a tribute from a past Alter yearbook, Sister Katie was described as someone who “dedicated her life to the Alter community,” remembered for her understanding, acceptance, sincerity, and big heart.

Those words are a beautiful reflection of the lasting impact she made on generations of students, faculty, and staff. Her dedication to Catholic education and the Alter community leaves a legacy that will not be forgotten.

We are forever grateful for her years of service, leadership, and love for the Alter family.

Please join us in keeping Sister Katie and all those whose lives she touched in your thoughts and prayers.
