Teen Leadership NEEDED 😄

The goal of the week is to help them build LEADERSHIP skills, JOB related skills, and SELF AWARENESS in relation to the social world 🙌🏼

Each camp has 4 Teen leadership spots to keep it small.

Announcing Summer Programs 2022 📣

I will be selling a limited number of spaces in each program and packages to ensure a high quality of service, take a look👇🏼

☀️ Package #1 - This is a great package to maintain your social learning
Six 1:1 sessions you can use over the course of the 8 weeks cost of the package =$780
2 payments of $390 on August 1st and July 1st.

☀️ Package # 2 - This is a great package if you want to step up your social learning and make big transformations happen quickly. You can come multiple times a week.
Ten 1:1 sessions you can use over the course of the 8 weeks of summer session.
Cost of the package =$1170(1 SESSION WILL BE ***FREE***)
2 payments of $585 due on August 1st and July 1st

☀️ Tweens and Teens Leadership camp will be held June 20th-June 23rd or August 1st-4th
Your tween or teen will become the support staff/teaching assistant at a camp for kids ages 4-6 years olds for eight to ten children.
👉🏼Before the camps start they will have a 3 hour group social learning session with Jaime and the other tween and teen campers to discuss their role at the camp, leadership qualities, and work on group related skills. There will only be 4 tweens and teens per each camp session.

Cost of the groups is $60 per session. Due to the nature of summer schedules, groups in the summer are provided in a package. ($480 for the summer)

Anyone else feel so embarrassed by their child's behavior they wanted to hid in a corner in public?

I have been there many times and I am supposed to be an expert 🤷🏽‍♀️

A meltdown can ruin a perfectly good shopping trip or a birthday party. Here's what you can do....

1. Repeat what they are asking so they feel heard. ""Yes I know you want that cereal and I hear you.""

2. Don't escalate with them. If we stay calm then eventually they will calm down.

3. Model how to calm down our bodies. What do we do when we have such BIG emotions? Let me show you!

Do you ever feel the need to get fresh air? Do some yoga? Take a hot bath or vent to a friend?

These are all strategies that help us regulate our emotions! Kids and teens need help figuring out what their bodies need too 👇🏼

✅ Jump on a trampoline

✅ Ride a bike

✅ Drink something warm

✅ Take a bath

✅ Receive deep pressure (think of crashing onto pillows on the floor)

✅ Snuggle with a trusted adult

✅ Put on noise-canceling headphones

✅ Play outside and so many more!

Incorporating these into your child or teens day can help them stay regulated and calm.

Social success depends on having an “elastic or flexible brain.” 🧠

👉🏼This is the ability to change one’s thoughts in order to problem-solve, consider others' perspectives, or adapt to a change in the social context.

The way we act is affected by what we think of others or what others are thinking about us. We must be able to take the perspectives of others in order to have successful social relationships.

We are always thinking about others, whether we are talking to them at any given moment, or not. We think of others when we read a book, watch TV, ride in an elevator, write a paper for school, or have a conversation.

We use our “eyes to think” 👀 in order to gather information from our social environment. We need to pay attention to both obvious and subtle cues when interacting with others.
