Please contact Representative Jeremy Bynum and Senator Bert Stedman today and ask them to return to Juneau, help secure a veto override, and support restoring the $6.4M for Early Educator Recruitment and Retention.

Please also ask other parents and business owners to call or write to Rep. Bynum's & Sen. Stedman's office. Lawmakers need to hear that childcare is not just a provider issue. It affects families’ ability to work and businesses’ ability to hire and retain employees.

This funding was approved by the Legislature to strengthen Alaska’s early education workforce. The veto comes at a time when programs are already facing staffing shortages, rising costs, and pressure to keep classrooms open.

Their leadership matters. Please urge them to return to Juneau, work with other lawmakers to secure an override, and vote to restore this critical funding for the childcare workforce.

PSA! We need as many parents and providers as possible to call Senator Stedman’s office at 907-465-3873 and let his staff know that Ketchikan wants him to keep the House's child care funding included in this year’s budget. Just super quick phone calls will make the most impact right now.

Alphabet Kids is looking for a RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE & Caring Preschool assistant to join our team! If you are patient, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children ages 3 to 5 years we would love to hear from you!

Must be 18, be able to pass a background check, be flexible and fun loving!
Wages beginning at $16.00 to $18.00 DOE.

We are open Monday thru Friday. 7:30 to 5:30. Position is Full
Time. Hours vary.

If you have kiddos of your own you can bring them also!

Well! We have our new sinks installed! Beautiful stainless steel prep tables! Lots of new shelving to store food! I passed my Certified Food Protection Manager test! Official! Once again!! 😀😀😀 Food permit application and plans have been sent into DEC AND were well on our way back to the Child and Adult Food Program to begin serving meals again to all
Our enrolled kiddos!!! YAY!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who helped us!!! Your support and hard work is appreciated SOOOO MUCH!! Just amazing!! Thank you! ♥️♥️♥️
