Holy Name Catholic School has been serving the people of Ketchikan for over sixty-five years. The school is open to all children, preschool through sixth grade, regardless of race, creed or national origin. Students from different faith communities and church backgrounds are welcome and will find a comfortable home at Holy Name School. We achieve our goal by providing an education that develops st

udents spiritually, morally, intellectually, emotionally and physically. We know the importance of providing an environment that enables each student to become a success. With a heavy and grateful heart, I write this message - The closure of Holy Name Catholic School
This was not the way we expected our 25/26 SY year to end, as Staff, as Students, and our Family's.
This was a very sudden and melancholy ending that felt uncontrollable and incomplete as there was no time for proper "goodbyes" -
I hold faith that this will be reincarnated (some day) as it is meant to be, an institution for faith formation, and a foundation for fostering a safe learning environment for children to be seen, heard, and loved 💙
THANK YOU to my staff, my families, our parish, the community as a whole, from the bottom of my heart for all your years of unwavering support and constant positivity towards our School, Students, and Staff.

What a fun field-trip this was for our Kinder & Kinder+ students…Kindergarteners learning about our Community and its members involvement and commitments while Kinder+ worked on their Social Studies and Government skills as they held an official “vote” while in the Borough Chambers!!
Bonus - Senator Dan Sullivan was in town and extended his time to conduct a little meet-n-greet with our staff and students during their visit to the Borough offices 🤩
