Elections are this Wednesday! Now is the perfect time to get in involved if you have ever considered it, KNEPC is in need of parents.

Ketchikan Title Vl is seeking patterns for our Pre-k Program. While they are currently in need of a collar/bib pattern, they would gladly welcome any other regalia patterns as well!

Title Vl is a formulated grant administered by the U.S. Department of Education’s (DOE) Office of Indian Education (OIE), intended to supplement, not supplant programs for AI/AN students. This is the amount from 2023-24 school year. The 2024-25 school year to be determined, as it can change year to year.

Title Vl is a formulated grant administered by the U.S. Department of Education’s (DOE) Office of Indian Education (OIE), intended to supplement, not supplant programs for AI/AN students. This grant has federal regulations and requirements for all entities applying. Having a parent committee is a requirement of the grant, KNEPC does not administer the program within KGBSD it serves in an advisory capacity. “The Indian Parent Committee reviews and approves, with the Chairperson’s signature, the Title VI Indian Education Formula grant application and any amendments to the application and approves the use(s) of Title VI Indian Education Formula grant funds”

Essentially KGBSD is the applicant through the Parent Committee’s LEA (Local Education Agency) Liaison as in accordance with the grants regulations and requirements.
