Created in honor of Judge Michael G. and Mrs. Joanne S. Eberlein, this scholarship offers a true “second chance” for adults to further their education and expand their employment opportunities.

Forest County Potawatomi Foundation has announced THREE scholarships that are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic semesters. Application deadline: Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST

DELORES PEMMA SCHOLARSHIP:
An eligible applicant for the $5,000 Delores Pemma scholarship must be a Wisconsin resident who is seeking to enroll as a first-year student at an accredited 2-year Wisconsin Educational Institute.

LOIS CROWE SCHOLARSHIP:
For the $10,000 Lois Crowe Scholarship, an eligible applicant must be a Wisconsin resident and current high school senior who is seeking to enroll as a first-year undergraduate student at an accredited 4-year Wisconsin Educational Institute.

CHIEF SIMON KAHQUADOS SCHOLARSHIP:
For the $5,000 Chief Simon Kahquados Scholarship, an eligible applicant must be a Wisconsin resident, returning or continuing student that has not been enrolled for one or more semesters, from an accredited Wisconsin Educational Institute. Students enrolled in accredited graduate programs are eligible to apply.

Are you passionate about freshwater, science, and making a difference? The University of Michigan Great Lakes Summer Fellows program invites students to apply for a unique opportunity to:

🔬 Work on meaningful, real-world Great Lakes research
📚 Gain career training that bridges science, policy, and practice
🌱 Build the skills to lead as the next generation of Great Lakes scientists

If you’re ready to learn, lead, and protect one of the world’s most important freshwater systems—this fellowship is for you.

Details:
• Offering four (4) full-time, twelve-week positions.
• In-person, fully remote, or hybrid experiences.
• Onsite work at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab (GLERL) in Ann Arbor, MI.
• Fellowships will begin on May 26 and end on August 14, 2026.
• Each student will receive a $10,000 stipend, paid in four monthly installments of $2,500.
