I saw this photo this morning and while it seemed so simple, it says so much. Being part of the childcare community is extremely important for so many reasons. First and most obvious, because of what a quality program gives to children. Second, families deserve to be able to go to work with the confidence that their child is loved and nurtured when they can’t be with them. Also and sometimes forgotten, child care plays an essential role in the economy by providing a necessary service. Without it, there are many people who would not be able to go to work each day. The work we all do contributes to the business for which we work and in turn contribute to our local economy.  Working in childcare is hard and often unappreciated. Caregivers are sometimes overlooked because of what seems to be a simple task. Please thank your childcare providers and let them know that you appreciate what they do! If your job ever seems too hard or too stressful, come hang out for a while! Children make everything better !
