Forget about what others think about you!

Invest our Lives in Jesus – not in our Title, Position, Career, or What Others Think – Everyone is invested in something, and I’m not talking about financial investment – I’m talking about investing your status, your credibility, and your career. For instance, if you’re a college professor, you’re invested in your standing among other professors, your academic credentials, and your professional associations. If you’re a real estate agent, you’re invested in your local real estate association or your reputation in the community. It’s what gives you perceived credentials. In the same way, religious leaders of Jesus’ day were invested in their authority or office (See Acts 4:19). As a result, even those who believed in Him pulled back, fearing the damage it might cause to their reputation, position in the community, or relationship with power.
The question is, what are you invested in? If you had to make a stand professionally or creatively, what would you stand to lose? Would you be willing to do it? How far would you go to speak the truth? Know what you’re invested in because at a key moment of truth in your life, it will determine the amount of courage it may take to do the right thing….

WHAT YOU DIDNT KNOW… on the Def Leppard Pyromania tour they didn’t pull permits in Greensboro NC. The local director asked for the permits, the English tour director said ‘we don’t need any bloody permits’. The local said ‘ I protect my crew your crew & the people coming tonight. No permits, no pyros’. As you might imagine a argument or discussing followed. Ralph, the local director, would not budge. He was a good man who did the right thing. Greensboro, NC was the only stop on the whole Pyromania tour Def Leppard didn’t have any pyros. I checked, they pulled permits after that show. This was before the band Great White accidentally killed 100 people & injured over 230 people with unpermited pyros. Honestly many bands in the clubs did this and it was sadly an accident waiting to happen and just happened to be Great White. All the bands careers & lives just hit the skids, even with the mega hit “Once Bitten, Twice Shy’. Money doesn’t cure or even heal wounds, Jesus does. Thank God for people who do the right thing, even under great pressure to do the wrong thing. Pray for Great White or Jon Bon Jovi or David Lee Roth* or some ones music you enjoyed. You may be the last one praying.
* I say pray for David Lee Roth even tho he pulled Nora Ho**er (who is now my wife Nora Ho**er McGee) on stage during the 1984 tour, before Nor & I had met. I happened to be working on the Van Halen tour & I thought ‘man that is a beautiful woman.. must be nice for Dave’. Nora traveled a few days with the and and had to get back to college. 🙂 this was a year before we met. Only God could have put us together & kept us together over the last 35 years. A rocker & a groupie?!? 😉 come on. It’s got to be God. 👍🙏

I was just thinking… there are over 869 ways to lie, but there is ONLY ONE WAY that’s expressly forbidden in the 10 Commandments, ‘Don’t Bear False Witness’. Think about it. Think about life.
Think about Jesus.
Be still & know Hie is God. Be still & see the Yeshua (Salvation) of the Lord! Cross the Bridge to an active faith & become more like Jesus.
