Yesterday, we celebrated our first Mass of the school year for our athletic teams with the Varsity Girls Golf Team.

Throughout the school year, our Campus Ministry program coordinates Masses for all Bishop teams, bringing together our athletes, coaches, and families in prayer and thanksgiving. We are grateful for the opportunity to compete, grow, and represent the Villains 💙💛

What a wonderful evening of gratitude and community!

Last night, we gathered for our 1959 Society and Legacy Circle Recognition Dinner to celebrate and thank the generous friends of Bishop McGuinness whose support helps make our mission possible.

As we begin a new school year and celebrate 25 years in Kernersville, we are especially grateful for those who have invested in Bishop’s past, present, and future. Their generosity strengthens our programs, supports our faculty and staff, enhances our campus, and creates opportunities for our students to thrive.

Thank you for believing in Bishop and helping us continue to “Excel so as to better serve.”

🎉 25 Years Ago Today! 🎉

August 27, 2001, marked the very first day of school at Bishop McGuinness’s brand-new campus in Kernersville!

Today, we celebrated this special milestone with a sweet treat for all of our students and teachers. A huge THANK YOU to the Bishop McGuinness Family Association and Krispy Kreme for sponsoring this delicious treat and helping us celebrate this special day!

Here’s to 25 years in Kernersville and many more years of making memories, building faith and community, and being Villains! 💙💛

This week, we welcomed back our students, faculty, and staff as we began a new school year together! We also celebrated our first Mass as a school community—a beautiful way to close out the week and begin this new journey rooted in faith and guided by a powerful message.

In his homily, Father Brock reflected on the Gospel’s two great commandments: to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. As we begin this new school year, he challenged each of us to consider one specific way we can grow in our love of God and one way we can more intentionally love and serve our neighbor.

These two commandments offer a simple yet powerful guide for how we are called to live, learn, and serve together as a Bishop McGuinness community. May they inspire us throughout the year to grow in faith, lead with purpose, and care for one another.
