Big Laurel Learning Center

Big Laurel Learning Center summer camps, service immersion trips, retreats, environmental education, community building We are called to seek out and serve one another.

Located on a 400 acre land reserve we strive daily to be stewards of the earth and each other. With joy and gratitude, we celebrate the goodness and dignity of all creation in a sustainable community. We promote responsible living with all of God’s creation and recognize the Earth as a spiritual resource. We welcome all on our journey to fullness of life through prayer, action, and reflection. We

strive to fulfill community needs through holistic education and quality-of-life assistance. Visiting youth and adult groups are invited to take part in meaningful service that models a faith that is alive through works.

Did we mention how great this team of volunteers was this summer?! We were so happy to welcome student volunteers from St. Charles! It had been over a decade since their school last visited. We're hoping to continue the relationship and have them back again soon!

We explored the creek at Laurel Lake Park - WV and even emptied out the Trash Trout trash catchment system that Friends of the Tug Fork River, Inc. installed earlier this year! What a great day of learning and fun! 🏞️
