It’s our favorite time of year 🍁🎃we started watching my niece fulltime yesterday and thought, what a perfect opportunity to dig out my old fall books, songs, activities and do them this month.
Today we read the book 5 Little Pumpkins, worked on pointing and counting the pumpkins and we can’t read a book without focusing on a core word so today was “go.”

We then went into the kitchen and made mini pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes and the girls made their own pumpkin pizzas using a cookie cutter and naan bread. The mess afterwards was my favorite, letting kids cook and explore in the kitchen provides so many learning opportunities.

Monday we went to Camp Courageous. We had not been to camp since 2018, it was SO great to be back. The kids had fun playing laser tag, rock climbing, seeing animals different animals, bowling, mini golf, and zip lining. It’s a long bus ride but the kids did great, and we are so proud of them for trying new things. We had the best day

🌟:for our special activity we had originally planned an outside Easter Egg hunt. That morning we hid 54 eggs outside and were ready to go. During our story it started to rain, so we quickly pulled things from the cabinets to improvise for a little bit. The kids explored 3 different sensory bins, made a foam egg craft and played bunny ear ring toss. The sun came out and we were able to go outside and the kids had to find 6 eggs. 🐰🥚🐥

Today we went to Miracles in Motions in Swisher and spent some time with some therapy horses. The kids were able to brush and pet horses and we walked though their sensory area. We thought we were going to be able to ride them, but that didn’t happen this time, maybe next time. We were able to spend the last hour of our trip at the park enjoying the fresh air and beautiful sunshine.

Wednesday and Thursday we celebrated some pretty important people in our elementary buildinggs, our paraprofessionals!!!!!! Our paraprofessionals are dedicated individuals who support teachers and students, ensuring every learner has the resources and guidance they need to succeed. From assisting with classroom instruction to providing one-on-one support, paraprofessionals have a crucial role in fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment. Their patience, dedication, and hard work help create a positive impact on students' academic and personal growth. Our paras play a huge role in our buildings and we could not do our jobs without them! I know they don’t hear it enough….you are all amazing, we love you and can’t thank you enough for all you do for our kids at MP!!!!!
