First Friday Fix-It

The Industrial Tech Club competed against six other schools at the Carl A Nelson skills challenge in Burlington where they won second place. They built a shop cart in three and a half hours. They fabricated the metal frame and the wood compartments on top which included a removable tool box. They took many of their own tools with them including a laser engraver so they could add the Keokuk K.

Here is Lexi, Kyren, and Josh’s bald eagle for the Lee County Conservation Center. Made entirely from reclaimed metal and titled “Gone Fishin’”

A staff member brought us this stool. It wobbled around and had a tendency to tip.
We elongated the legs, while shortening the height, and made sure the base was level.

Thanks to the National guard for inviting us to your trades expo! We enjoyed learning about the different unions and job opportunities… also the free stickers and climbing a pole.
