We had a wonderful night of music as the 5th - 8th grade choirs presented their spring concert this evening in the Performing Arts Center. The students combined for a song, resulting in nearly 320 singers on stage.

✨ Practically perfect in every way! ✨

Last night’s opening performance of Mary Poppins at Kenton Middle High School was nothing short of magical. From the moment the curtain rose—and characters took flight!—these talented students had us believing that anything can happen if you let it! ☂️

With breathtaking flying scenes that lifted spirits (and a few cast members!) high above the stage, chimney sweeps that could rival Bert himself, and a live orchestra bringing every note to life, this production is truly supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! 💫

The combination of soaring vocals, stunning visuals, and the rich sound of live music created an unforgettable experience full of heart, humor, and hard work from every student involved.

Come watch the award winning Kenton Dimensions and members of B-Company and Stage Corps perform their annual Showcase this weekend! You will see singing, dancing, skits, and more!

Top Twenty finishes as 4th Runners Up at Jay County. Congratulations to all, especially the seniors, who finish their high school careers with 14 finals placements!

Top Twenty is in Finals at our last competition of the season here in Jay County, Indiana! Details:

-Georgia Cameron and Dakota Hale-Adkins had awesome solo competition performances!

-Georgia was also our Best Performer today!

-A-Company won Best Band!

-The group won second runners-up in Small Mixed during daytime!

And I saved the best for last. Jay County presented an award for kindness this year in honor of an alumnus who recently passed away, and embodied those characteristics in their group. Because of the actions, behaviors, and words of our students, Kenton Top Twenty was the recipient of the Philip Hartman Kindness and Spirit Award.

We will likely not have very many students go into a career of professional show choir, but we are absolutely sending all our students into a world that needs more compassion. Trophies are great, but this award is my proudest moment of the season.
