Last Thursday we had the opportunity to host the 3rd Grade Ag Day. Students planted flowers, taste tested different foods, made edible soil, saw tractors and animals, and enjoyed different games ran by the high school students.

We always enjoy seeing our younger students and high schoolers interact and teach one another what they know about agriculture. Thank you to the students who brought in items to show off, the students who helped, and most importantly, to the 3rd grade class at KES for always being so great to work with and host!

DAIRY BEEF FEEDER REGISTRATION DUE TODAY

Dairy Beef Feeder Weigh/Tag-in is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 from 8:00 to 10:30 at the fairgrounds. The maximum weight at May weigh-in is 325 pounds. Any animals over this weight will not be eligible to tag-in for the 2026 Hardin County Fair.

All exhibitors must complete the registration form by May 9. This will allow us to order the correct number of vaccines and speed up the weigh-in/tag-in process on May 16. This form includes exhibitor contact information and how many animals you plan to weigh-in.

Congratulations to Diana Nease, Bailey Henry, and Isaiah Poland on receiving their State FFA Degree!!

The State FFA Degree is obtained by only 4% of Ohio FFA members. We’re very proud of these 3 for putting in the work and being part of the 4%!

Convention is over which means our shenanigans are coming to an end as well. It’s been an amazing year for our chapter and we will continue to bloom and grow into the coming years. As we continue to “live our legacy”

We are super excited for our Gold Rated Officers! These three students have put in the time and dedication to their chapter and officer team to receive this great award!! Today, they crossed the State FFA stage to receive their golden pin of achievement.

We have a STATE WINNER!!

Karsen Sprang has won the 2026 Ohio FFA Proficiency Award in the Area of Grain Production! We are very proud of Karsen for putting in the time and effort to achieve this accomplishment.

Thank you to Dr. Stephanie Jolliff for helping Karsen with his award, to Ag-Pro for sponsoring this award, and to all the community members for supporting Karsen in his journey.
