9/8: FAB’s Emo Karaoke! Haven’t you people ever heard of… emo karaoke? Join FAB tonight in the KSC Rathskeller from 7:00p.m. - 10:00p.m.

9/9: International Student Lunch Conversations are happening in room 313 of the KSC from 12:15p.m. - 1:15p.m.

9/10: FAB’s Trivia Frenzy is happening this Thursday in the Rathskeller of the KSC from 7:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. Come test your knowledge and maybe win some prizes with FAB

9/11: Recovery & Routine Workshop is an innovative workshop being offered by the Collegiate Recovery System to help students build a strong balanced routine. This is happening this Friday in Van Campen Hall from 1:00p.m. - 3:00p.m.

9/12: HOME OPENER FOOTBALL GAME! End your week with your favorite football team this Saturday as the flashes take on the Wofford Terriers at Dix Stadium. Kick off is at noon! 🏈

Does your student share a room on campus? University Housing recently sent students helpful tips for building a positive roommate experience.

🏠 Encourage your student to: ✅ Complete their Roommate Agreement within the first few weeks of classes ✅ Communicate early about expectations, guests, noise, cleaning, study time, and personal space ✅ Respect differences and set healthy boundaries ✅ Address concerns directly and kindly before they become bigger issues

Remind your student that open communication and mutual respect go a long way toward creating a comfortable living environment.

If challenges arise, Residence Life staff and RAs are available to help. Check in with your student and encourage them to watch for additional information from their residence hall staff! 💙💛

Families are invited to come write a heartfelt postcard to their college students as a simple “we’re thinking of you.” Stop by the Pepsi Leadership Lounge located on the second floor of the Student Center on Thurs., Aug. 20 between 3-8 PM!

We’ll save your message and inform your student to stop by the Office of Parents & Families Engagement later in the semester for pick up.

The first 500 family members in attendance will receive a free bag of popcorn courtesy of Metropolis Popcorn. Hoping you can “pop” in! 💕
