This was a really great discussion around what is design, who is the user, what should their experiences be like when they buy a product, go on a website, use software. The better the UXD team recreates a seamless experience for the user, the better for everyone.

From the touch screen on your phone, to the "Popcorn" setting on your microwave; there's somebody, somewhere, who had to figure out how to make that work for you, and hopefully; how to make it work in such a way that the experience was seamless, satisfying, and really served your needs.....

Jeremiah Nordholt MFA Thesis oral defense: Jeremiah Nordholt's VCD MFA Thesis defense was a success! Jeremiah presented his thesis research “Exploring the Relationship Between Illustration and Memory” in our Taylor Hall graduate studio.
Jeremiah is an illustrator and designer aiming to locate the improvements drawing can have on mental processing. His research explores the effects of drawing training on memory through participant testing and the development of instructional systems. After graduation, Jeremiah plans to continue researching the connections between drawing and memory, evolving possible uses of this work in education.
