✨️🧚‍♀️ Enchanted Forest Week 🧚‍♀️✨️

Enchanted Forest Week at Forest Art School back in August was pure magic! We spent Wednesday crafting mystical nature wands and legendary wizard staffs, and storytime that brought the woods to life. 🪄✨️🌿

The enchantment peaked on Friday when we all came together to build the most adorable fairy houses. It was so heart-warming to see everyone—parents included—getting lost in the creative process and pouring their imaginations into every little detail! 🏠🍄✨️

From the nature-inspired crafts to the pure joy of building side-by-side, it was the perfect way to celebrate our forest adventure! So proud of all our little forest dwellers and their incredible creations! 🥰

✨️🏰 Royal Kingdom 🏰✨️

Castle week at Forest Art School was an absolute blast! We spent the week diving into the history of castle construction, reading epic tales and getting creative by building our own fortresses out of recycled materials—complete with functioning drawbridges. 🔨👷‍♀️🏰

The magic continued on Friday with an adventure to a beautiful nature center and Squire’s Castle. Seeing the kids run wild with their handmade swords, shields and nature crowns in a REAL castle was incredible! And who doesn't love a story about a castle while sitting inside one...come on now! 🤗

Between the nature hike, picnic, storytime, games, crafts and all the imaginative play, it was the PERFECT way to wrap up such a wonderful week. So proud of all the little knights and builders! 🥰

🤺🛡🗡 Brave Knights 🗡🛡🤺

What an incredible start we had to our Renaissance month in August at Forest Art School! Our "Brave Knights" theme brought so much magic to life as we dove into epic stories, crafted our own shields and forged noodle swords fit for any quest. The creativity in our woodland classroom has been truly inspiring to witness! 🗡🛡🤺✨️

On Friday, we traded in our paintbrushes for some engineering and precision. We built custom catapults that doubled as artistic tools to create abstract masterpieces, and our archery range was a hit—using handmade bows to pop paint-filled balloons made for the most colorful target practice ever! 🏹🎈🎨

It was so wonderful seeing everyone embrace the spirit of knighthood with such enthusiasm and imagination. We’re still buzzing from all the excitement! 😁🤗

A glimmer is the exact opposite of a trauma trigger, serving as a micro-moment that cues the nervous system to feel safety, joy, and calm. Coined by clinical social worker Deb Dana through Polyvagal Theory, these internal or external cues help shift the body out of stress responses.

Hope you enjoy some of these glimmers from our adventures at Kk's Forest Art School! ✨️🥰
