Kent Education & Equity Partnership

Kent Education & Equity Partnership KEEP is a collaborative made up of community-based organizations, Kent School District, City of Kent, and King County Housing Authority.

In 2015, KEEP was formed by community members that include: St. Vincent de Paul/Centro Rendu, Community Network Council, Coalition for Refugees from Burma, Iraqi Community Center of Washington, and Somali Youth & Family Club. KEEP's overarching goal is to narrow the opportunity deficit for children of color, especially those from low income families, English Language Learners students, newly arriv

ed refugees and immigrant families, and Latino and African American communities. Together we will:

- Improve academic success outcomes of identified students;
- Support families to be community leaders and advocates for their children's educational success;
- Partner with school staff to provide culture specific support services; and
- Build equity across education- and community-based partners, including students and families.
