First, I want to thank everyone who responded to my daughter's "Save the Date" flyer announcing my retirement from KSU and the retirement party that was scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone my retirement send-off because I suffered a medical emergency that will require some time for me to recover, to regain my health and to settle into my new normal.
We will keep you posted, and will announce a new date in the not too distant future. I was truly humbled by the many good wishes, the love and respect so many of you expressed. I also want to thank each of you for being a part of my journey.

Sweet memories: my years coordinating the Afro-American Cultural Center at CSU and broadcasting on WCSB launched my career. I can’t thank the culture community enough for your embrace and for your support. My Cleveland experience prepared me for my Elder years at KSU. I’m looking forward to retiring in June.
