As we look toward the future, how can poetry help us engage with the challenges facing our planet?

We asked featured speaker Kimberly Blaeser, “What current environmental or societal issue can the Poets for Science Gathering address?”

Her response centers on the climate crisis and the urgent need to consider how we understand, communicate, and respond to a changing world!

Through poetry and conversation, the Poets for Science Gathering creates space to approach complex issues from new perspectives and to imagine what comes next!✨

Join Kimberly Blaeser and fellow speakers November 12–14 at Kent State University for three days of curiosity, creativity, and connection.

We asked Nickole Brown to share one word that comes to mind when she thinks about the future. Her response offers a glimpse into the hope, curiosity, and possibilities that shape the way we imagine what comes next💫

At the Poets for Science Gathering, we’ll come together across poetry, science, art, and other disciplines to explore these possibilities— and imagine the future we can create together. ✨

We can’t wait to hear more from Nickole and welcome you to the conversation!
