Class of 2024 Spotlight Presents: Wilson
Wilson recently completed an internship in the Kent State Library with their graphic design department. After graduation, he plans to find a job working at his local library.
Wilson’s favorite thing about CCS was working with Dr. Bintz to illustrate books, as well as being in the headlines for his art. (Read more about Wilson’s feature in Kent State Today here: https://www.kent.edu/today/news/wilson-dudas-drawings-are-picture-book-perfect)

Class of 2024 Spotlight Presents: Matteo
Matteo recently completed his internship at Ravenna 7 Movies! His field of interest is hospitality, and after graduation, he hopes to find a job working at a movie theater in his hometown.
Matteo’s favorite part of CCS and Kent State were the classes he took, especially Community Life. He also loved the Homecoming Kickoff and Parade!

Class of 2024 Spotlight Presents: Mira
Mira recently completed her internship in the Center for Disability Inclusion in the College of Education, Health and Human Services at Kent State University! After graduation, she plans to find a job in social services.
Her favorite thing about CCS were the career classes. She said, “I think they really helped me with finding my career and figuring out what I want to do with my life.”
Mira wants people to remember her as a hardworking, kind, brave person who’s accomplished and done a lot with her life.

Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight Presents: Madelyn
Madelyn worked as a student teacher aid in a kindergarten class at the Child Development Center this past semester! After graduation, Madelyn is looking for a position in early childhood education, hopefully in a daycare.
Her favorite course at Kent State was Social Studies and the Arts in Preschool:
"It was fun to experience being in an art class like I did when I was younger!" Madelyn wants people to remember her compassion, kindness, and artistic abilities.

Gabe is currently finishing his internship at Rosie’s Diner and Market in Tri-Towers! After graduation, he hopes to find a position in retail.
One of Gabe’s favorite things about Kent State was being able to go to the sporting events, specifically football and basketball games! He wants people to remember his sense of humor and friendliness.

We blinked and the semester is almost over! Graduation is right around the corner, and our seniors are gearing up for the next chapter of their lives.
Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight Presents: Olivia
Olivia is currently finishing her internship at Kent State University Libraries as a library assistant. After graduation, she plans to look for a job at a library!
Olivia's favorite thing about CCS was making friends and being able to live off campus in an apartment. She wants people to remember how friendly she is and that she will miss CCS.

Please join us for the Career and Community Studies Spring Workshop on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. here at Kent State University!
This workshop is for interested students in 10th grade or above, parents, family, service providers, and school educators. We will provide information on the strategies and philosophies of the CCS program, information on how to get your student ready for adult life, and a campus tour!
