Im a chef. Never really been a baker (Sissy is the baker...I count on her). My Dad loved to bake bread with my grandma. It was always too fussy for me. Ive been trying to learn sourdough bread the past few weeks. Some success, some failures. learning as I go along. Ive noted some of you DO bake bread (I remember your posts of beautiful things and I could smell it through the screen). If any of you have any pointers other than some obvious Id love them... Pm or email or whatever works for you. Ive mostly looked at King Arthur's website and a local flour mill (Hayden Mills) for some really cool flours and whole grain stuff (check out their website guys for cool products if youre interested. I started with some 150 YO SF sourdough chips and now Im making my own. Photos soon, I promise.
