ANOTHER great Apex lesson today on learning to understand others! Having empathy helps us work better with others, solve problems, & create a positive environment!

Way to go COACH NICHOLS’ 3RD GRADE CLASS 🎉 as our next challenge winners! Their class had the most students “SHARE” their Apex websites last night and got a delicious DONUT PARTY today! YUM! 😋

The class that gets donations from the MOST different states will win a wristband-making & music party 🎶 with the Apex team! Who do you know that lives outside our great state?!

🎉🎉We had our first 3B assembly this past Tuesday. Three of our students were highlighted for the amazing work they have been doing in our Spotlight on Learning segment: Ryder, Treasure, and Catherine.

RYDER is an outstanding kindergarten PR teacher. He is kind yet firm with the 5 year olds. He has an uncanny ability to point out little details in language that the kids will understand. After just one class period with the students they all loved him. He is a huge help to Mrs. Taylor and Miss Butler.

TREASURE has been working incredibly hard this year. She has been putting in BIG EFFORT by participating in class, giving things a try and taking risks. She has grown so much already as a mathematician! She can do hard things and proves it every day!

CATHERINE has shown so much growth this year! She gives BIG EFFORT in class every day. She understands the power of YET. She puts in the hard work to meet her goals.

Coach Sanchez's 3rd Grade math group was highlighted for our para award this month. They work hard everyday they come to group. They show their 3Bs and put in big effort.

In the picture below you can see the students who were selected by their teachers to receive our special 3B Award honors for this month. They show all three of their 3Bs (Be Kind, Be Safe, and Be Your Best) each and every day.

Congratulation Ryder, Treasure, Catherine, Coach Sanchez's 3rd grade math group, and all of our 3B winners! 🙌🎉🎉

🎉 New Staff Spotlight: Meet Ella Merte, Our Family Liaison! 🎉

We are so excited to introduce a brand new position to Martin Sortun this year, Family Liaison! Please help us welcome Ella Merte to the team!

As our Family Liaison, Ella will serve as a bridge between school and home. Her role is all about building strong relationships with families, supporting communication, and helping ensure every family feels connected, informed, and empowered. Whether it’s helping navigate school systems, connecting families with community resources, or just being a friendly face to turn to, Ella is here to support YOU.
