Congratulations to our next Summer Photo Contest winner, Savar Shrestha, who has taken the award for the category! βœ¨πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

Computer Science major Savar interned in Tokyo, Japan this summer as a KSU Freeman Fellows Scholarship recipient. Savar captioned this photo: "For this excursion, our classroom expanded into a traditional performance hall to witness the 400-year-old art of Rakugo. With just a paper fan and a hand towel, the storyteller brought complex narratives to life, teaching us about Japanese humor, vocal inflection, and cultural nuances. This group photo captures the shared joy of our cohort immediately following the show, serving as a perfect memory of how our education extended far beyond campus walls." 🎌

This summer, Lilly had the opportunity to immerse herself in the Spanish language and culture alongside fellow KSU students while spending a month in Seville, Spain. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΈπŸ’ƒ

Lilly reflected, "One of my favorite memories from Seville is having dinner with my host family and my fellow students on the rooftop patio. It was just fun to laugh and talk about our weekend trip. It was the little mundane things that I really came to enjoy. When I left my host mom told me in Spanish that I would always have a home in Seville. It was very sweet and made me tear up."
