Last Monday’s World Cup watch party brought such a great atmosphere to our new space at the Global Office on the 3rd floor of the Kent Student Center Library. Everyone gathered in the morning to watch Brazil 🇧🇷 vs. Japan 🇯🇵, sharing food, chatting about every play, and cheering proudly for their countries. The smiles after each goal said it all, a simple, happy moment that brought everyone together.

Five Rwandan students stepped into the cockpit for the very first time at Kent State, a moment filled with sunlight, pride, and the quiet power of dreams taking flight. 🇷🇼✈️

From Kigali to Ohio, they carried their families’ hopes, their nation’s future, and their own determination straight into the clouds.
Their first flights weren’t just lessons. They were beginnings, proof that when passion meets purpose, the horizon expands.

Music in the Museum returned this year as one of Kent State’s standout traditions, a night where stunning campus talent meets the heart of the University’s art scene. On May 6, Opus 216 brought an intimate decompression‑chamber performance to the Higbee Gallery, offering students a rare moment to slow down and reset. Inspired by the Museum’s Sparkle exhibition and its iconic dress from Truman Capote’s 1966 Black & White Ball, the event blended elegance, history, and high‑tier musicianship. A Kent State highlight and a glimpse of the creative energy waiting for every student here.
