The funeral service for the beloved Holy Cross faculty member, Lo**ta Jardeleza, will be held on June 9, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist, 10103 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. Viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to follow. An interment will occur at Gate of Heaven Cemetery after Mass. A reception will follow at the Academy of the Holy Cross, 4920 Strathmore Ave., Kensington, MD.
The family asked that if you come to the funeral, please do not wear black. Lo**ta was very colorful, and this is meant to be a celebration of her life.
In anticipation of overflow parking, for the reception at Holy Cross, Tuckerman Lane and the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station both have metered parking. You can enter the campus through the gate on Cloister Drive. If you do take the metro, we are at the Grosvenor-Strathmore stop on the Red Line.
If you park on campus, please be aware of evolving traffic patterns and follow the signage to Academy Park Drive — the new entrance to The Academy of the Holy Cross. We will have a member of our facilities team on the premises to help direct you.
