The Garrett Park ES PTA invites families with incoming kindergarteners and families new to GPES to join us for the first of two popsicle playdates this summer taking place on Saturday, July 11 from 4-6PM on the playground behind the school. Come meet new friends, learn about the PTA, and get information about upcoming family events.

Get ready for Book Fair!
Our Book Fair is entirely CASHLESS.
Starting September 22, visit our Book Fair website at
https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/garrettparkelementaryschool1
and follow the instructions to create an eWallet. If you have leftover funds from a prior book fair, you must convert it into a new one.

Sign the Wait Until 8th pledge and join many other Garrett Park ES families--together we can teach our kids healthy relationships with technology!

📚✏️ Back to school, back to the pledge! As a new year begins, we’re recharged and ready to keep rallying families to delay smartphones until at least the end of 8th grade. 💪

If you have a kindergartner starting school this year, you can now sign the pledge for your little one! 🙌

By joining forces, we’re giving kids the gift of a slower childhood, a stronger community, and the reminder that real connection matters most. Thank you for making this movement powerful. ❤️

Parents➡

✅ Delay the smartphone until the end of 8th grade with our pledge!
✅ Get a basic phone if you need to get in touch before. We have a list on our website.
✅ Start slowly when you do say YES. Put smart limits in place! Tips on our website!
✅ Delay social media until 16 at least!
✅ Keep phones out of the bedrooms!
✅ Advocate for phones to be away for the day at school!
