The mission of Grewenow Elementary, a safe and nurturing environment within a culturally diverse neighborhood school, is to empower all students to be independent, responsible, lifelong learners by providing meaningful learning experiences and challenging opportunities through the collaborative efforts of students, staff, families, and community.
Graduating seniors visited Grewenow this week for our 2026 Senior Walk. After the walk seniors answered questions from our 3rd-5th grade students. Students asked questions from what the seniors remembered most about Grewenow to what their future plans. Some seniors even relived old memories with playing four square and with the parachute. Congratulations Class of 2026!

We were excited to have so many families at Grewenow for the Cinnamon "Roll" event. Participants enjoyed a cinnamon roll for breakfast while spending some special time with their role model.

Last week, the Lance Band and Orchestra visited Grewenow to share their musical talents with our students. It was wonderful to welcome back former Grewenow students and see how much they have grown as musicians. Thank you to the Lance Band and Orchestra for an inspiring performance and for encouraging the next generation of musicians!

Throughout this week we celebrated the talented teachers and staff at Grewenow Elementary. On Friday, we honored staff who were celebrating milestones in KUSD. We also recognized our Spark Award winner, Mr. Shike! Thank you to the amazing staff who daily create a positive, welcoming environment for every student to learn at Grewenow!
