Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). As musicians and educators, we are a student organization dedicated to serving the university and surrounding community through workshops, fundraisers, participating in professional events, and performing.

MEETING 2/6 11am!!! To kick off the semester we are having a listening party 🎶 bring a tune or two to share with the group and we will all listen and share our thoughts! This is also a great time to get to know the eboard, and other members of the department. Hope to see you all there!!!

Happy start to the spring semester 📚
There are two Nafme meetings happening this month, make sure to mark your calendars! They will be in Rita L132 (the theory room). Our second meeting will focus on full faculty juries, so make sure you bring your friends who have juries so they get all the information they need.
A meeting for concert attendance will be held following our first meeting. After that, noon concerts begin the 20th with our very own professor Ayesu Lartey kicking off the season!
So proud of our soon-to-be graduate, Ali Torkelson, for receiving the Outstanding Graduate Award! In addition to concentrations in Jazz Studies and Music Education, her leadership as President of the NAfME collegiate chapter and impact on the community has been outstanding. We know she’ll continue to do amazing things in the world! Go Ali! ❤️🎶🎷🎓

Yesterday, the UW- Parkside Music Department welcomed 60 highschool students from Bradford to join us in choir, orchestra, and band workshops! They also were able to learn about financial aid, scholarships, and other musical opportunities Parkside has to offer.
Thank you to everyone who helped and to some of our Nafme members that volunteered!
